Clearcast is the resin we reach for nine times out of ten. It's a 1:1 by volume system with a 40-minute working window — long enough to layer three pigments and torch the cells open, short enough that you're not babysitting a piece at midnight. We had it reformulated twice for Indian summers: it stays workable at 32°C without racing to gel, and the UV inhibitor package is the same grade used in marine topcoats.
It cures to a genuine optical clear with a hard, glassy face that takes wet-sanding to 3000 grit beautifully. If you're pouring anything under 12mm deep — coasters, boards, wall panels, jewellery — this is the one.
